How to use the Haakaa Breast Pump:
- Sterilize the straw by boiling in water for 3-5 minutes.
- Place the lip of the pump over the nipple - making sure the nipple is comfortably in the middle of the pump head.
- Apply suction – You may need to adjust the position of the pump several times. Once the pump is secure and comfortable, apply suction by pressing on the base of the pump to start the milk flow.
- Once the milk starts flowing, leave the pump alone to do its job!
- When the straw is full, empty it into the storage bottle and reassemble.
- If your milk flow slows down or you've expressed the amount you want, simply stick the suction base on a flat surface while you're finished feeding or reuse.
Tips: Encourage letdown by placing a warm cloth over your breast and gently massaging. While breastfeeding, attach the Haakaa Pump to the other breast to catch precious milk that might otherwise get lost in the nursing pad.
Cleaning and care:
Clean after each use. We highly recommend cleaning and sterilizing your Haakaa Breast Pump with any steam sterilization system or by boiling in water for 3-5 minutes. Do not use any bleaching agents or sterilizing tablets to clean this product. Do not use UV sterilizers to clean this product as it may affect the life of the pump.
Warnings : Check the condition of the product regularly. Replace the product if this product shows any signs of damage. Do not store near sharp objects. Only use a soft brush or sponge to clean this product as harsh detergents may scratch the surface. Exposure to detergents may cause the clear silicone material in this product to appear cloudy. This product is not a toy. Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use. Store the product in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight. Adult supervision required.
